Students enrolled under AME Licence in category B1.1 (Aeroplane Turbine) are trained to perform maintenance on Aircraft Structure and Gas Turbine Engines (Jet Engines)
The "Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (IAME)" was established in 2008 at "Aurangabad", a city of Maharashtra State having cultural and historical heritage. IAME functions under Late Lilawati Satish Awhad Education Society and to run the course under Continuing Education Programme (CEP), this institute made MOU with Government Polytechnic Aurangabad (An autonomous Institute of Govt. of Maharashtra).
To meet the growing demand, “Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering” (IAME) was established in the year 2008 at Aurangabad, the city of historical background. IAME is approved by DGCA, ministry of civil Aviation, Govt. of India to impart ab-initio AME training in Mechanical & Avionics streams.
To be a reputed and creditable institute, IAME aims to produce quality Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at a competitive level. IAME develops students by providing an environment for personal growth, opportunities, knowledge, exposure, personal attention and career direction. The AME course is designed to give the students a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft and its systems to become skilled and competent maintenance professional by following the laid down maintenance practices.

Students enrolled under AME Licence in category B2 are trained to perform maintenance on Electrical System, Instrument System & Radio Navigation System of Aircraft.
